Back in 2013, I lived in #Coronado, CA, a beach city across the bay from #DowntownSanDiego. BB came down to my place one time so we could grab some food within the city. One thing about Coronado, it is known to be a rich + clean city with no homeless people around.
As we were driving down towards the Hotel Del (not going to the hotel) he noticed this homeless man rocking a red BB hoodie, white BB shirt, a BB hat, BB belt, etc... He immediately said... WTF!!?? Not in a WTF, why are you wearing my clothes but a heart dropping WTF as he seen what me and wifey did for this man. Coronado literally has ZERO homeless on the streets so his heart sank when he saw that. I give credit to wifey for that one, she has a BIG HEART when it comes to the less fortunate.
The whole time we were eating, he kept talking about the times he had it rough and the people that looked out for him along the way. He ended up grabbing something to go and we went out looking for that guy to give him some food. What I didn't know is that BB also left a little cash he had in his pocket. Black is TIGHT with his money... I mean this guy pinches a penny so hard that Abe Lincoln's eyeball pops out of the design. Every dollar earned, he sets aside for his daughter so it was dope that BB was giving this cat whatever he had on him. Till this day, I still don't know the amount but lets just say that WHEREVER we go, he NEVER used his card... it was ALWAYS cash. So I know this guy made out.
Fast forward 2 weeks, I was about to take off to the Fantasy Factory. As I was passing #LaJolla Black had me turn around back to the office and get a box of mixed merch. I thought it was just for promo for the people there but when I arrived, we got in his car, went straight to Skid Row which was close to Dyrdek's office and we started passing out clothes to those who really needed it... Right after, we jumped back to the factory right on time before he had to start filming. To me.... if that aint' G.... I don't know what is!
