I wasn't happy with my body. I know people of all shapes and sizes who are happy right where they are, and I envy them. Part of me wishes I could have just loved myself fiercely back then, no matter my size. Or maybe not? Maybe that feeling of being unhappy sparked that change in me. Who knows. But I was unhappy with how I looked. Clothes didn't fit. I felt tired and winded. I didn't want to play with my kids. I felt ashamed that I had let myself get that way.
If you are like I was, and unhappy with where you are, big hugs to you. I know what it's like. It is okay to want to change. It's okay to want to be healthier.
And listen. I know there are a million different ways to lose weight and get healthier. Some are legit, some are fad diets. My philosophy? If it's not something you can see yourself doing for the rest of your life, don't waste your time on it. Eating right and moving your body is the real winner. Don't we all wish there was truly a magic pill or wrap for this? But there isn't. It's gonna take a little work on our part.
I truly love what I'm doing now. I do all my workouts from home and have a whole library of top notch workout programs to chose from, to stream from anywhere I go. I have meal plans to choose from to find one that works for me. I'm not tied down to a gym or their fees and schedules. I do my workouts on my time. I eat real food and don't cut out food groups. And I have peer support with my online bootcamp groups. And IT WORKS.
