We reckon this stunning image from @romainallain captures the essence of Richmond - a picture-perfect historic village in the heart of the Coal River Valley wine region about 30 minutes' drive from downtown @Hobartandbeyond. Richmond's iconic bridge, built by convicts in the 1820s, is the oldest bridge still in use in @Australia. The town is also home to Australia's oldest remaining Catholic Church, St Johns, built in 1836, as well as Australia's oldest gaol - the Richmond Gaol. Add to this more than 50 beautifully restored Georgian buildings now operating as cafes, restaurants, galleries & accommodation and you can see why many find it hard to leave!
