Long Story: A couple of days ago I was being a brat. I let my work day get to me and brought it home. My husband in his complete well meaning, was trying to change my way of thinking and I took it completely the wrong way. Although it lead to some good talking points I was still irritated the rest of the night while my husband pulled me out of the house so we could go chase or dreams.
The next day after sleeping on it, I went out. I wasn't planning on ending up where I did but I felt the need to go there and just walk. As soon as I walked in, on my left was a HUGE display of patriotic decor. I browsed and suddenly the excitement and bubbly feeling of anticipation started to creep back in. I could visualize my freedom day a little bit more.
I continued to walk some more and lo and behold on one single aisle were some fall candles and a bit of ribbon. 🍁 You guys, my heart raced just a bit. It's my very favorite time of the year. It brings not only pumpkins and cooler temperatures but it means some of my favorite family traditions and planned days ahead (Hello Wedding Anniversary!👰🏼). I picked up this simple candle and breathed in. Sometimes the insignificant has the most impact. A promise I knew deep down that was shown to me 3 years ago is going to come to pass very soon. My freedom day is coming. The days of work and irritation and messy houses and a mountain of laundry are going to become days of time ownership and family time and the ability to decide how I want my day to look like.
Summer is just a season but we have to live through it to get to fall. The reward of hard work is always going to be on the other side of someone's greatest struggle.
So with tears in my eyes I paid for my candle and left but not before uplifting 3 ladies on my way out and getting over myself a bit. This next year is going to blow you guys away! Stop and smell the candles if you have to. Remember your why and your goals and know they are not insignificant. 🍁🍂🍁❤️ #freedom #pumpkins #fallgirl #candles
