Some heroes have four legs... “Rest easy, Hopski. From Mission K9 Rescue:
MWD Hopski K008 has succumbed to cancer and crossed The Rainbow Bridge. Hopski was an explosive detection K9 with The United States Navy, who kept our servicemen and women safe during his deployments to Afghanistan.
Hopski had the blessing of living with two handlers over the last three years during his retirement. He was originally adopted to his handler, Justin, who attributes Hopski for doing his job so well that he saved Justin's life. Hopski was with Justin for two years until he received orders to move to Hawaii. Knowing that Hopski was too old for such a move, Justin turned Hopski over to Scyler. Mission K9 Rescue was blessed to get to be a part of this transition and was able to deliver Hopski to Scyler, and we fell madly in love with Hopski as did everyone who ever had the pleasure of knowing him!! RIP sweet Hopski, your watch is over and you will be missed!!” Repost from Facebook - Military Working Dogs
