With only FP1 to make suspension changes, learn the Dunlop tires, and be absolutely blown away by how bumpy #canadiantiremotorsportspark has come since 2014, I had a uphill battle. I had to make multiple changes every time on track including Q1, and again for Saturday morning warmup. I don't have the bike settled yet, so hopefully I can find something that works for the race. In Q1, for my first fast laps attempt on new tires my top speed was clearly higher (270+kmp/h) having a draft on the long straight in the pack of top riders, but I was not up to pace yet, needing learning laps still. On my second go, I had better pace but none to draft. 265 - 269km/h average now. My rear was burning up and I never found that 1.23.5 I needed to make Q2. I qualified 13th which puts me on row four for Saturday and Sunday. Stay tuned for my progress in morning warmup removing f/r rebound and preload. I'm also going to test 19psi in the rear. See my pressures and tire temps in the photos.
