📚 Learn The Game: The Face-Off Position 👨🏫
Face-offs in lacrosse occur at the center of the field at the start of each quarter and after every goal. In a lacrosse face-off, two players face each other at the X in the middle of the field, in a crouching position with the ball placed on the ground on the center line between the heads of their sticks.
This is a very specialized and a very athletic position. You need swift wrists to clamp, pinch or rake the ball, and a big muscular body to jam the opponents stick effectively. Above everything else, you need to be as quick as a cat when you are in the scrum and those that dedicate themselves to this discipline and concentrate on the specific movements involved are going to come out of there with the rock most of the time. 🦁 #Glasgowlions #jointhepride #glasgowlacrosse #lacrosse #lacrosselife #lax #glasgow #glasgowcitylacrosse #lions #lionslacrosse #scotlandlacrosse #growthegame #sportscotland #fogo #faceoff #faceoffs Learn more: www.glasgowlacrosse.com
