When I was 7 I helped my dad customize this bike.
It HAD to be purple so we went to the paint store and they blended this special 'Taryn purple'.
I wanted purple tires, a flower banana seat, and I eventually covered the spokes with the plastic white things all the boys had.
I knew what I wanted and I made it happen.
I made up my own games and played by my own rules.
I don't always know why I feel called to share these snapshots into my life.
Maybe it's to 'prove' who I really am when I don't always show up that way in the world.
Still nursing some old wounds back to health where people called me a brat, bossy, stubborn.
I an her again - from this photo - messy hair, shirt shorts, jellies with socks, the bike built per exactly what I desired.
She didn't care yet what anyone else thought of her.
She did her own thing, and didn't care who followed.
She was highly creative and didn't care how, but she knew what.
I think I just planned out 2018. I'm ready. 💜
