Last year I was lucky enough to be in Nepal, attending the wedding of two very dear friends; @pim_horvers and his beautiful bride @samjahnabishanke. They met each other in the climbing gym in Kathmandu several years ago. Pim was there on behalf of his Micro-Care Nepal Foundation (MCN) to do some great fieldwork after the quakes in 2015. Samjhana and Pim run the foundation together ever since and have helped hundreds of the poorest and most desolated communities with their projects. I’ve worked along side them on their first-aid projects and not only have they been great guides on difficult terrain, they also took really good care of me when my own health let me down in unfortunate times. MCN is always looking for new volunteers who want to explore Nepal in a unique way and moreover help someone out along the way. At The 18th of March you’ll find me on behalf of MCN at our own stand, during the National Nepal Day in Amsterdam. Interested? The program is very promising and I’ll be there to tell you all about the MCN projects and of course to take you on a journey to my favorite country in the world!
