After yesterday’s Milky Way Panorama from Switzerland I couldn’t help myself again and chose another Sydney cityscape photo for today’s post. I hope you don’t get sick of the view but the sky in this one was just something I didn’t want to hide for too long. Some of you may have already seen this in my stories lately as it was only taken Monday night. I didn’t plan to shoot sunset that day but just when I wanted to start cooking 15min before sunset, I noticed the colour change from boring white light to a nice orange. When I saw that the clouds were in a perfect position as well, it was clear that I had to postpone dinner. The framing with the city on the left, the Harbour Bridge on the right and a few trees in the foreground to add depth to the image didn’t take long to figure out as it has proven itself before. I then only had to figure out how long I want my exposure to go for. I started with 30sec, then 2min, 3min, 4min, 6min and 8.5min. All while the colour in the sky was going mental. The problem with these longer exposure during sunset is that the calculation works at the beginning of the exposure but not for e.g. 8min as the light fades away over time so you always need to add a bit more. I use a 10 stop ND filter and shot in Bulb mode. Then it came down a bit of luck to stop the exposure e.g. 30sec or 1min after the originally calculated time to compensate for the fading light. Bronte Pool Moods. Another favourite sunrise from 2017. This was taken in October and I thought it was going to be an absolute fizzer. However, after the sun rose there was a sudden burst of light that created his wonderful scene. @bellabrockwell was taking it all in from the pool. Stay cool today Sydney, it’s going to be about 35 degrees 😱😱
Chasing the light does not get better when you’re surrounded by your mates, the colour pops and the coffee afterwards tastes so good. ______________________ Canon 5D MK3 Exp 0.5 Second F/14 Canon 16-35mm 3 Legged Thing Tripod NiSi 0.9GND Stop Filter ______________________

Living inside a postcard at Freycinet National Park 👌. After climbing up what felt like the 'Stair Master 3000' 🏃 to get to the lookout at Wineglass Bay we enjoyed a well earned rest here in Honeymoon Bay... it was magic. Tassie is such an amazing location to explore, if you haven't been ~ start planning, you won't regret it 🌿😁👣. Freycinet National Park, Tasmania, Australia

How goes your Christmas shopping? I am legit totally in denial about the fact there’s just over a week until Christmas. I’m gonna need some fairies to save my bacon this year I think! 🧚🏼♀️ 📷@ourcoastlife - can I come to the beach with you?!
A different take on my house view, the Waverley park stadium was strucked with a gigantic lightning during the stormy weather last week @visitmelbourne. I managed to pull out my camera and was shocked with what was captured. After this shot all the lights that were lit went off. Amazing how nature can be a beauty and horrifying at the same time. . . .
