And now for something completely different!
I love colour. I love the show that nature turns on for me when I can be bothered to get out of bed for sunrise, and I love expressing that through my photography.
It’s not often I find an image though that I find is expressed better in black and white, but here we are.
I shot this almost as an afterthought while scouting a shot at sunrise in Cradle Mountain earlier this year and I’ve since grown to really love it.
This image feels almost like the story of my year personally - fighting through the fog and finally getting my nose out in front. It’s nice to be able to try and convey that through photography in one way or another.
