:: THE WHITE SPACE ::
Faced with the white space, we are mostly terrified. This is why we avoid it at all costs. Noise, bustle, colour, people, things, busyness - all things we use to avoid the white space. And all things which equally overwhelm us and keep us in a state of chronic stress...
But the white space mocks us. It seems to absorb us into its very blankness until we question who we are, whether we matter, and even if we actually exist! No wonder we prefer the noise and mayhem of overwhelm, burn-out and chronic fatigue. Because the alternative is - what? Nothing?
Only the truly brave and those willing to be annihilated on some level will face the white space - and not be in a rush to fill it. They know at heart this does not erase who they are but instead invites forth a truth, an honesty and extreme vulnerability. ::
The white space offers an opportunity to go deeper. To feel more viscerally. To see more lucidly and to trust more implicitly.
How will you step bravely and honestly into your own white space today?
