It's interesting how a lot of Biblical principles can be applied to our modern world.
We judge men by "what they can provide" rather than WHO they are, the core of their humanity.
We judge ladies by "how they look" and create expectations on how they're meant behave in society. "Your legs are too hairy, you should shave", "you're flat chested". "Wow, what happened to your butt? They have reduced" "You eat too much.... Like a man". If they have strong personalities, they're not wife material enough. We say to girls, "hush, you'll be a wife soon". What if the girl inherently is inquisitive and questions things? Somehow we think when a girl has a voice, she'll likely be less submissive to her husband.
I strongly believe God has nothing to do with these gender expectations we see in the world today. What if I LOVE to have the size of stomach slightly bigger than my frame? (aka sucking belle is allowed). What if the man does not want to spoil a woman with presents to show that he's in love? What if people due to life's experiences and talents are different from what is expected of them?
