#51days51exercising DAY6 - Steps - Dias Beach. Absolutely thrilling!!! All of the cape weathers in a few hours. But after internally berating myself for not having my usual car boot full of all weather gear ... the temperature walking down toward this holy grail of beaches was just perfect. And then sunny once in the silky soft white sands. This yoga pose was ten times harder than it looks. The winds were howling and gusty and took a few turns to get my balance 😂. Thanks to Jo for getting up from her peaceful sunny book worshipping towel to take this shot for me 🙏🏻. The rock simply called my name. A must to be remembered. (And it’s Jo’s child/children and friends up there higher than high. Great climb guys)!
The exercise goal for today was those steps .... all 208 of them from the bottom of the beach to the top walkway. And almost 90% of them heading up up up. Burn thigh... you know you deserve this non-punishment punishment for all those lazy days. Counting them in tens focused me on the numbers instead of the effort. Good work Soxie!! After about an hour on the beach, roaming her many breathless views ... I took to the stairs all 208 of them. Only stopping a few times to appreciate the view and catch my breath.
Still more of a climb, steps and some heavy breathing to get to the actual car park. But they don’t count 😄
A slow meaningful drive home through the Cape Nature Reserve stopping in @hubcafescarborough for an big red apple and an irresistible blueberry ice-cream.
Oh and not to forget my mandatory morning coffee @foodbarn_deli_tapas and and watermelon summer freshness juice from @faithjuice. Body well fed and ready for a day to remember!!!! #petasarkisdailychallenges #instagramcapetown
