Although I don't exercise to burn calories, but to create a more positive hormonal profile - it's important to know that when you recruit multiple muscle groups at the same time, more energy output is required (meaning more calories burned). I also feel like when I finish a set - I either look like I'm dying or like some sort of mystical creature. There is no in between.
