A week ago, I hated and avoided doing safety bar squats. I never went past 225 on this exercise cause I hate the high bar placement and the pressure on my upper traps.
When a wrist injury (outside the gym) forced me to safety bar squat every day, suddenly, I had no CHOICE but to succeed. I could do little else but do this exercise and work my left arm for the past week. Today, one week later, I am safety-bar squatting 430lbs for 3 sets of singles.
Moral of the story? Do what you suck at or something like that. Don't avoid your weaknesses, target them.
(I still hate this exercise but not as much since I know I can do a lot of weight with it now 😊)
I get my stitches removed on Friday and I CAN'T W8 2 DEADLIFT M8!
