Your journey in health is meant to be LIBERATING. ✨
It is meant to bring you freedom. 💫
We seek "health" to feel energized, and happy. For a capable and functional body. To liberate us from anxiety, depression, sluggishness, disease.
That is restrictive.
We are sold so many ideas of what we "should" be doing 🤷🏼♀️
but THE TRUTH IS these ideals don't work for some, and often even many of us.
⏸ Be honest with yourself; is what you're doing working for YOU?
Do you feel that liberating ☁️✨ FREEDOM?
If the answer is "no", you need to be honest with yourself about what's not working for you and take ownership of that.
If counting macros or calories creates an obsessive or restrictive mentality, is it really worth it to trade in your mental liberation for massive quads?
Is weightlifting really for you if it leaves you burned out BEYOND muscle soreness? That is, emotionally or mentally burned out? 😞
Is meditation really for you if it gives you anxiety? 😖
What works for your best friend or even worse yet, your Instagram "fitspo", might actually be really damaging to your wellbeing.
I'd also like to add that what served you at some point in your past, may not serve you today, and often we transition throughout different practices throughout our life.
