I went to my first yoga class about 28 years ago. I loved Yoga. But I wasn't ready to commit. I mean...she made me feel really wonderful...connected more deeply to myself, calmer, happier, healthier. All the good things. But I needed to play the field. Running. Aerobics. Weight training. Spin. Zumba. I dabbled with them all. But I always kept coming back to Yoga. And every time she took me back and loved me all the more in spite of my inconsistency and dalliances elsewhere. Whether I spent one day a week or one day a quarter in her embrace, Yoga was there for me, making me feel as loved as ever. 12 weeks ago, I chose to commit to doing yoga on a regular and consistent basis. And I have fallen deeply, head over heels in love. I'm grateful for finding the @asanarebel app which has made it easy to commit to a near-daily practice because I have a teacher with me at all times. And much gratitude to all the beautiful yogis who have embraced me, given advice, and inspired me with your practice! Namasté.
