#IPPW14 Days 11, 12, & 13 of 14 ••• The last three days of IPPW went by SO FAST. On day 11 of my trip (Wednesday), the IPPW participants (208 this year with 62 of them students) went to the #ESA #ESTEC facility and learned more about ESA research projects such as the ExoMars Rover and Schiaparelli Entry Descent Module. I even had the opportunity to watch a 3D tour of the ISS! That evening we traveled to the @barbarossabeach (Barbarossa Beach Club) at the Northern Shore to celebrate both the week & the amazing work everyone has been doing within the space industry at the IPPW Dinner Reception. I know I have said it before, but the Northern Shore sunset is just spectacular. I am so grateful that I had the amazing opportunity to watch it once more while in the company of some of the most incredible and brilliant people I have ever had the pleasure to meet. On day 12 (Thursday), I helped organize a Student Professional Development Luncheon hosted by the Student Organizing Committee. Our theme was "I'm about to graduate, what's next?" and we had professionals from ESA, NASA, JPL, Airbus, John's Hopkins Applied Physics Lab, DLR, AMA, Zodiac Aerospace, and TU Delft speak to the 42 participating students. It was a successful event and the students had a great time! It took several long days & weeks to plan and organize, with help of course, but it was so worth it. Day 13 (Friday) was the conclusion of IPPW, which of course made for a sad day. The week went by incredibly fast, but alas, the end had come. I had an amazing time reconnecting with old friends and making new ones, as well as enjoying the company of professionals from around the world who work in the space industry. The days were full of learning and engagement, and the nights were full of fun ... exciting from start to finish. I'm already counting the days down to #IPPW15 in June 2018! Boulder, CO here we come! ✈️🤓

My inner child was spoiled today at the Space Expo in Noordwijk. André Kuipers' real astronaut-suit, and many, many more awesome things. (If you're wondering why that picture of a girl is next to it: he had a large banner with a photo of his family in his sleepingcabin.) Oh how I enjoyed our day today! #space #andrekuipers #esa #estec #spaceexpo #astronaut #innerchild #funwithkids #iwishicouldworkatesa
