Stop 7: The George in Shalford. Ross is settling for a Peroni. Albert is having a light and bitter (young's light ale and Shalford Barnfield bitter). Both satisfied after an excellent day. #EssexCyclingPubCrawl

Stop 4: The Fox Inn, Finchingfield. A round of Früli strawberry lager. Very fruity, very sweet and rather intense. Especially enjoyable on a hot day, but you wouldn't want to drink it all afternoon. #EssexCyclingPubCrawl

Stop 3: The Red Lion, Finchingfield. A nice choice from Essex. Two pints of Cenosillicaphobia (fear of an empty glass), brewed by the Colchester Brewery. Albert says "metallic but with a hint of grapefruit. Light and fresh taste, with a hoppy bitter finish." #EssexCyclingPubCrawl

Stop 2: The Three Tuns Finchingfield. After a gruelling 20 minute ride to Finchingfield, the chosen drink was Adnams bitter. Albert says "I can detect a hint of peach, but there's an overriding malty-ness, as you'd expect. And of course, a great hoppy finish." #EssexCyclingPubCrawl

Stop 1: The Bull at Blackmore End. Not a local beer, but it was such a pleasant surprise to find Blue Moon on draught, we had to order two pints. #EssexCyclingPubCrawl
