Cheating on my dogs by taking a solo rollerblade session. I love getting a leg pump 💪🏼, my respiration up ❤️, and some vitamin D ☀️ all at the same time.
You don’t have to go to a gym to stay fit. Walk some dogs 🐾🐾
Ride a bike 🚴‍♂️🚴‍♀️
Power clean your house while blaring some tunes 🎶💪🏼 There are always ways to be active and time to do it. The easiest way to make time to do something is to just do it 😉

The in-progress restoration of the Delaware Lackawanna and Western station in Lake Hopatcong, NJ...thank you to the workers who allowed me access in and around this magnificent old station. The station, built in 1911 was part of the Lackawanna Cutoff project which began just a mike to the west. The station thus became a transfer point between the cutoff (to the Delaware Water Gap, Scranton and Binghamton) and the Lackawanna Old Road which ran south to Hackettstown and eventually crossed the Delaware River in Portland, Pa with both lines coming together in Slateford Junction, Pa. Lake Hopatcong was also a big tourist area at the time and Lackawanna's direct service from Hoboken provided the best access. The station sits high up on a hill above the platforms. Today, the stairs and connections are long gone (as are former owner/operators DLW, Erie Lackawanna, and Conrail) and NJ Transit maintains what's left of two asphalt platforms with vestiges of the old station remaining. There was, apparently, a line that once went directly to the lake, and the evidence is there but since the lake is 200 yards from the tracks, that doesn't make much sense so I will probably need to do a little bit more map study to see where it actually went. With NJ Transit beginning to restore the cut off the station could possibly once again be an important transfer point between trains going south of Hackettstown or west over the cutoff. That all remains to be seen....more on the platforms in my next post... #trains #travel #style #abandoned #restoration #abandonednj #newjersey #railroad #railfannation #rails #railroads #beautiful #photos_of_instagram #picoftheday #instamood #photooftheday #njtransit #dlw #erielackawanna #train_nerds #trains_worldwide #roadtrip #forgotten #lakehopatcong #instatrains #lackawannacutoff #trainsofinstagram #trainstagram #trainstation #traintravel

An A&W F3 A-B-A lashup still in her beautiful Erie-Lackawanna paint, breaks off of its train and heads for the Allentown engine facility for servicing. #modelrailroad #modeltrains #trains #trainspotting #erielackawanna #freighttrain #freighttrains #hoscale #railfanning

Erie Lackawanna 2015 ( NS 1700)

I realised I forgot my sdcards back to where all my stuff is. So this is just a whatever with the phone.
A lower angle would have been better, but we realised our mistakes after all the damage is done. Woow, getting deep here.

A rainy, drab Monday like today could drive anyone to drink!

Erie Railroad/ Erie Lackawanna abandoned engine service facility, Port Jervis, NY.... Used to store cars from the former Greenwood Lake Railway all of which have been terribly vandalized and are looking pretty bad... The sand towers are still there. The diesel pumps, some lighting...if you squint in dim light, maybe it will seem to be alive again... Amazingly this track is still connected to the Norfolk Southern...but who knows for how long.. Track components date to the 1940s and there are chunks of coal everywhere.... Ahhh, simpler, happier times... #trb_express #trains #railways_of_america #diesel_locomotive_shop #nofilter #newyork #portjervis #erielackawanna #erierailroad #photography #amateurphotographer #picoftheday #instamood #photooftheday #photo #ubranexplorer #abandonedny #abandoned #sandtower #1941 #forgotten #history #travel #blog #adventure #explore #remember #locomotive #passengertrain #1945

Erie Railroad Station, Port Jervis, NY 1892 (enlarged 1912) fully restored (👍😁) and housing a number of different businesses but not passengers (😭). The Metro North station is merely a ground level platform and shelter about 1/4 mile away...was in service into the 1970s.

Milepost 87...An Erie Railroad soldier stands its post in Port Jervis, NY....the Erie is long gone (1960), the Erie Lackawanna is long gone (1976), Conrail is long gone (1999) ... the yard is gone, the roundhouse is gone, steam is long gone and we live in a world of PTC yet, here just outside of the old Erie Depot stands a witness to it all.... but it doesn't stand alone, it has a partner at the other end of the yard, right next to its modern replacement (photo 5). Happily they've been left alone...for now. Oh if these signals could talk...the stories they'd tell.... #railroad #trainsofinstagram #trains #train #historic #train_nerds #newyork #portjervis #erielackawanna #erierailroad #conrail #signal #signals #photographer #instaphoto #photos_of_instagram #instatrains #trainstagram #roadtrip #history #image #railfannation #abandonedny #abandoned #adventure #forgotten #instamood #photooftheday #picoftheday #stories
