Baby Mother Of #NBA Hopeful Gunned Down While Dropping Her Daughter Off At The Sitter
The community of #Orlando, #Florida is grieving over the loss of Breanna Walker who met a tragic demise as she was trying to drop her daughter off at the babysitter. Here’s What Happened: Beautiful young mother, #BreannaWalker, was described by family members as a hard-working person with a beautiful spirit. Walker worked at Morgan & Morgan Law firm and she was dropping her baby off to her grandmother’s home in Spring Lake Manor neighborhood when she was gunned down last Thursday morning around 8:30 a.m. Walker was found dead on the scene. Spring Lake Manor is a quiet neighborhood within the city of Orlando that is peaceful. Neighbors within that community are on edge as violence typically does not occur there. We don’t know what happened, whether somebody came through the neighborhood and decided to shoot somebody or it’s a family matter. We don’t know, David Stokes, the neighborhood association president said to Click Orlando. We’re just hoping they catch whoever did this quickly. That’s what’s on our minds right now, making sure we get this person off the street.
Orlando City Commissioner Regina Hill met with Walker’s family after the shooting. Hill shared with Click Orlando that Walker was a 2015 graduate of Florida A&M University (#FAMU) and a 2011 honor student at #JonesHigh School. Hill said the father of Walker’s 5-month-old daughter is NBA hopeful #EricGriffin. Griffin is currently a member of the #UtahJazz #summerleague and recently became the first #Utah #Jazz player to sign a two-way contract with the team as an opportunity to earn an NBA roster spot. Hill told News 6 he was in Utah when the murder happened.
Just 15 months ago, Griffin was arrested on attempted murder charges “after he and another man, 23-year-old Daquan Lundy, allegedly fired several rounds at a third individual outside an Orlando, Florida, apartment building,” according to Sam Gardner of Fox Sports: The alleged victim, 24-year-old Treavor Glover, told police he was approached by two black males as he walked from his car to his apartment at approximately 1:19 a.m.
