I have been hit on 4 times this week by boys. Yesterday I was eventually sick and tired of getting perved on, and I was done with a society that tells me that being hit on is a complement. THEY WERE NOT COMPLEMENTS! A complement is telling someone they look nice, that would've been nice. But I was not complemented, I was hit on. I was told twice while swimming at a carnival that I looked really sexy and he and his friends would 'tap that', and then I was told that while I was taking my shirt off to get back in the pool (I HAD BATHERS ON!), it was provocative. I AM DONE WITH A SOCIETY THAT DOESNT RESPECT WOMEN!!! You can tell me I look nice, if you like my shirt, go ahead and tell me, but when I'm doing my Christmas shopping for my little brothers and the guy behind the counter says 'Damn' when I bend down to look at a game board, that is called being a pig. You think I'm hot, you'd like to DO me? KEEP IT IN YOUR HEAD!! I don't want to know! WHO THE FUCK RAISED YOU! Women were not made as sexual objects, we were made as human beings, with the same capabilities as men. Yes I acknowledge that we are different, but 3+4 = 7, and so does 5+2, one of these equations is not better than the other one. I am so done with it, and I think the most devastating thing that happened yesterday, was that when I told my mother that I was sick of being hit on, she told me to stop being pretty. She didn't tell me that that's was wrong of those males and they should know better, SHE TOLD ME TO NOT BE PRETTY! I CANNOT HELP THE GENETIC FEATURES I WAS GIVEN! And when I said I can't do that, she told me I'm just gonna have to get used to it. How long has my mother put up with this?! How many people have told her the same thing?! I would never want my daughters or sons to grow up in a society that praises sexist male rappers and tells her that she can't wear spaghetti strap shirts to school because boys will picture her naked. Society needs to step up its game. I will no longer tolerate being perved on, do not tell men to man up when they cry, do not tell girls they can't wear leggings. Men and women should have equal opportunities. Stop being sexist, and stop harassing me for being me.
