Blackberry & Lemon Cheesecake with Pistachio crust by @addictedtodates ⠀
(serves 8-12)⠀
- 200g almonds⠀
- 100g pistachios⠀
- 5 medjoul dates⠀
- 2 tbsp melted coconut oil⠀
- 2 tbsp almond butter⠀
- 2 tsp matcha powder⠀
- 0.5 tsp vanilla bean paste⠀
Lemon Filling:⠀
- 100g cashews⠀
- Juice of 1 lemon⠀
- 1 tsp lemon extract⠀
- 1/4 cup maple syrup⠀
- 1 tsp vanilla bean powder or paste⠀
- 1/2 can of coconut milk (the hard part from the top)⠀
- 1/2 cup melted coconut butter⠀
- A handful of loose fresh balckberries⠀
Blackberry Filling:⠀
100g cashews⠀
- Juice of 1 lemon⠀
- 1/4 cup maple syrup⠀
- 1 tsp vanilla bean powder or paste⠀
- 1/2 can of coconut milk (the hard part from the top)⠀
- 1/2 cup melted coconut butter⠀
- 1 cup blackberries⠀
- 2 tsp acai powder⠀
- Some ground pistachios⠀
- Some fresh blackberries⠀

- In a high speed food processor, blend the almonds and pistachios until finely ground⠀
- Add the remaining ingredients and blend until they form a dough.⠀
- Press the dough evenly into a dish of your choice (baking dish/ cake tin lined with parchment or a sillicone cake mould)- approx 8 X 8"⠀
Lemon filling:⠀
- Combine all your ingredients in your blender and blend until completely smooth and creamy.⠀
- Pour the mixture on top of the base.⠀
- Add some whole fresh blackberries, spread them out unevenly throughout the cheesecake mixture.⠀
- Place the cake into the freezer to set for a minimum of 1/2 an hour.⠀
Blackberry Filling⠀
- Blend all the ingredients until smooth and creamy.⠀
- Remove the cake from the freezer and pour the blackberry mixture on top.⠀
- Place the cake back in the freezer to set (minimum 2 hours but preferably overnight)⠀
- Once the cake has set completely, remove from the baking dish.⠀
- Carefully turn the cake upside down and cut gently with a very sharp knife (with the crust part facing upwards to prevent crumbling)⠀
- Garnish the slices with pistachios and fresh blackberries.⠀
- Store in the freezer and remove about 1 hour before serving.⠀

Daging steak perlu rest, istirahat sejenak setelah di grill. Tujuannya biar sari daging tetap terperangkap di dagingnya, teteup juicy saat di potong
Selalu gunakan panas yg cukup. Kita ga mau sari dagingnya keluar, dan daging berkurang kelezatannya
Ga perlu bumbu yang macem2 di daging steaknya. Kalau daging segar, insyaaAllah steak bisa empuk, juicy dan enaak 👌

Nah, bermain di sausnya aja
Mau yg guriiih ? Pakein saus keju
Ato suka pedes hangatnya merica ? Blackpepper sauce jawabannya
Mau yg gurih sedikit manis ? Gravy sauce, paliiing enak. Ditambah potongan jamur😋😋


2 potong daging tenderloin
2 sdm mentega
Merica, garam

Kentang goreng
Buncis, jagung, wortel rebus sebentar
Tomat grill

Cheese Sauce :
1 siung bawang putih, cincang halus
1 sdm mentega
1/2 sdm terigu
200 ml susu
8 lembar red cheddar cheese
Merica, garam

1. Panaskan grill pan
2. Daging taburi merica dan garam, bolak balik
3. Beri mentega di pan. Taruh daging di pan yg panas. Diamkan kurang lebih 2 menit untuk medium steak. Balik, diamkan lagi 2 menit. Angkat. Istirahatkan kurang lebih 7 menitan
4. Sisa minyak mentega di pan, cemplungin sayur2an, aduk rata. Angkat
5. Sajikan steak dengan sayur dan saus keju

1. Panaskan mentega, tumis bawang putih sampai wangi
2. Masukkan terigu, aduk rata sampai bau 'mentah'nya hilang
3. Masukkan susu, aduk cepat dan rata
4. Masukkan keju, aduk rata. Bumbui merica dan sedikit garam jika perlu. Angkat

Preheat oven to 450 with 6 inch cast iron skillet inside. Blend 2 eggs, 1/2 cup milk, 1/2 cup flour, 1/4 tsp vanilla in blender until batter is all combined. When oven is preheated, pull out skillet and throw 3TBSP butter in it and swirl it around, coating the skillet. Immediately pour batter into skillet and bake for 13-17.5 minutes until edges are golden brown. Top with everything you desire and chow down. Don’t burn your mouth 👹

I think this is my favourite grilled pizza to date!
It all started with a sample of @niagarafoodspecialties Pingue Prosciutto at our local grocery store... we picked up the prosciutto, then grabbed local pears, blue cheese, raw dough and some @greenbeltmicrogreens arugula.
Damn that was fresh and tasty!

The salak fruit (salacca zalacca), or the snake-fruit painted in rich, earthy colour-palette. I love the earthy, reddish brown hue of this scaly-skinned fruit. We’d usually bring home a few kilos of this lethal-looking yet delicious fruit from our Indonesian trips. It’s juicy, sweet and sour taste is very addictive. However, too much of these babies can cause serious constipation!

To those people who think it’s too early to start posting Christmas stuff, I don’t have the blood alcohol level to deal with you right now.

On a happier note, I made some Christmas shaped roasted potatoes and slathered them with @aimeebourque homemade ketchup (pretty epic!).
But with all these holiday goodies coming our way, I gotta be good.
A body like this doesn’t just happen overnight.
