My bum got the last ray of the sun today! 😄☀️ Welcome to Day 4️⃣ of #SpringTwistedYogis challenge and we have Vishama Pada Parivrtta Adho Mukha Svanasana - Uneven Leg Revolved Downward Facing Dog for you!
The spinal twist in this one might not be very visible in photography, but it is definitely there, and the deeper it is, the further you will be able to extend the crossing leg, also placing the entire sole of that foot flat on the ground ( vs only having outer edge of it resting on the ground, if you skip the spinal twist and just cross the leg over ). As you twist the body here, the weight will automatically shift to the side of the crossing leg, especially to the shoulder of that side. Therefore make sure to keep the shoulders stable, pushing firmly away from the ground through the palms of the hands, and rotation the triceps in.
How do you like the pose, loves? It is sure pretty rare one, not often seen in yoga classes!
