Productive Saturday in the cabin. Resurrecting my sourdough and kombucha mothers, and using old limes from the party season to make a fermented lime pickle. The latter made with the assistance of my new English elm chopping board, a treasured Christmas present from my Dad.
Boxing Day is a time for reflection, so today I’m thinking about what to make with this magnificent slab of Burr English Elm. This piece came from a huge tree that was growing in a park in London. It fell over in the great storm of 1987 that hit the UK. I’m thinking I might use it for my piece for the Studio Furniture 2018 exhibition that @woodreview and @bwoodworks are running. #studiofurniture2018
