So here we are at the end of this working week for many of us, where some may have had a tough day or even an entire week of it. Take a moment to reflect though & seek out those little moments of good which were present in each day...because there were some, honestly. It could be someone opening a door for you, the bus waiting for you in the rain, someone letting you out in the traffic, having a coffee bought for you, a smile from a stranger, having a home to go home to, having three meals a day, family or friends who are happy to see you...the list could go on. The point is, no matter how crappy you feel your day or week has been, at the end of this day, find some positives that were actually good.

When we focus on the good things, even in the tough times, we’re filling up the space with good vibes...and this helps to support the rewiring of positivity & optimism to occur in our brain, thus fuelling further good feeling, even when you may be standing in 💩

It’s a good habit to get into, to write down on a scrap of paper each day one or two things which were good or you’re grateful for & save them up in a jar or similar container. Then at the end of 12 months, open it up & look at all the positives which happened, even if there were some big challenges. This practice helps build our positive, optimism muscle, which can easily weaken when things feel like Groundhog Day after day after day.

So begin now...what will you write on your bit of paper at the end of this day? For me, it’s feeling a moment of warm sunshine on my face while out for a walk today ☀️in what’s been a very wet & wild week; and laughter with the kitten I’m fostering just now 😻

Our experience of our life is based on the stories we tell ourselves.
These stories and beliefs have there genesis in our early life circumstances and the energetic survival patterns that we establish to survive these.
The stories then create the filters for our reality and govern how we see and perceive our world.
Then, because we are always looking at things in one way, it becomes true for us.

But look around......
Someone else is having a very different experience of the world.

Here are some of the common focusses people have:

Fear - If you’re focused on fear, you’re looking for what’s wrong so you can feel safe.

Rules -
If you’re focussed on the rules, you’re assessing all situations based on whether others (and you) are following the rules. Because you believe this will keep you safe.
Power - when power is your focus, you care about power. To stay safe you want to stay on top and you will be looking for ways to influence and get ahead
and, lastly,
Heart - when when heart is your driver, you care about the heart connection, your dominant focus is whether people are ok and how the connection is moment.
By keeping others happy you hope to keep yourself safe and, conversely, it feels unsafe when people aren’t in harmony with you.

Whatever your perspective, it has its origins in your early life and it has kept you safe, but perhaps it’s time to expand your perspective?
