Created my very own #gingermix at @sanaseurope / @sanasnederland yesterday! 🙌🏽🎉 - Had a fun day in the lab 🤓Interesting to see how nutrition and supplements are made and to learn from the masters 👨🏼🔬Together we are trying to optimize my race & training nutrition. Think I will enjoy the bars and drinks even more now I know exactly what it does, how it is measured to be precisely what I need. Whether that is after a rough training or during a marathon in an Ironman. Look forward to a lot of more testing and exploring to feel how nutrition can help me get more out of my body 💪🏽 Always learning 👀 Thanks for the lecture and support Sanas! 😃 #fuel#breakingboundaries#gingermantri
Good afternoon my recoveryfamily 💞. I really want to talk about my point of view on "light"-products, meaning low fat or low carb options. I used to buy light options whenever possible. I tried to justify this by saying:. 1) I will be able to eat more while sticking to my safe calories-range. 2) I won't get satisfied on less volume and so I could binge and this could lead to a relapse. 3) Light versions are "healthier" options. 4) Normal people buy these products too. 5) They taste as good as the original version. 6) At least I am eating these "fearfoods". 7) It doesn't matter what I am eating as long as I reach my calories. But this is complete bullshit!!! Looking back I realize that all of these thoughts were just my annoying EATING DISORDER! In my opinion light products will always leave space for the disease. They calm the voice down, because at least we chose the lower kcal option. But if we want to get healthy we have to face normal versions sooner or later. Here are some helpful thoughts:. 1) The fullfat version DOES taste better. 2) In fact, they keep us satisfied for a longer time! 3) For those always being excited about food: YOU ARE IN RECOVERY NOW, you should never restrict yourself again. 4) You will have the rest of your life to try out all of the foods you always wanted to try! 5) You obviously are allowed to eat more of the full fat version as well if you want to. (Just in case you have these thoughts: For the calories of the real version I could eat two light products) 6) Lower calories don't equal "healthier"! 7) Sugar and fats don't make fat!
