Catching up on some #emptybottles!
This “Fraîcheur Detox” 🍃 line is a quite recent release by Petit Marseillais. The two featured ingredients, Camellia Sinensis (tea) leaf and Verbena Officinalis leaf are mostly there for their purifying and antibacterial properties and are present rather high in the ingredient lists of both products (5th-6th). The brand’s marketed “thing” is a maximum of clean ingredients in their compos, a promise they do respect to some extend. Still the few medium-hazard components, potentially related to irritations, have been at the origin of some unpleasant experiences for me: 💆🏻The shampoo does leave your hair squeaky clean and has a quite nice herbal-lemony scent 🍃🍋. Now this product caused me skin irritations on the forehead (reddened skin just after the use), though the redness always faded away rather quickly afterwards. I think this reaction was caused by this “cocamidopropyl betaine” ingredient, listed 4th, associated with irritations and allergic reactions. 💆🏻All in all, the conditionner does its job as to detangling. The compo is pretty much clean. But 😑☝️there’s a thing about the scent! Same herbal-lemony scent as for the shampoo, but as soon as the hair dries and especially on the 2nd/3rd days, the hair basically starts smelling like burnt plastic 😳, totally 🤢. All in all, a very contradictory experience with this #haircare line and unfortunately not a repurchase. 🙌
