Finally finished, after 6 months of slow evolution/revelation, concurrent with 6 months of family illness and caretaking that have kept me out of the studio for much of the summer.
This canvas is a genuine shift in focus from years of working in black & white with issues of intimacy and estrangement in sleeping couples.
A shift out of the bedroom into intersections of nature and history, biology and dreams, bones and branches, skin and bark.
