#Emiratesinternationalschool @khalafalhabtoor1 after having 4 children go to this school I'm sad to say that as of next year my 6 year old daughter will no longer be going there. I'm intent on sending her to another school because this one has become one of the worst schools in Dubai. Here are a few of the reasons behind my decision. 1- I don't know of any other school private or public whether in Dubai or any other country that has 6 year old attend school for more than 7 hours straight. 7:40 am to 2:50 pm. 2- by the time we manage to clear the school traffic we get home at 3:30pm. That means she literally has 4 hours to eat lunch, do homework, shower, and eat dinner before she has to go to bed. That means she is constantly exhausted, has no quality down time, and zero after school activities. Public schools kids go from 8:00 am to 1:35 pm after the recommendations of pediatricians that extensively long school hours is harming the children. 3- some might ask why she doesn't eat lunch at school. Well, we manage to pack in her lunch box sandwiches and fruit etc... there is no place for her to get a warm meal. Moreover the school has numerous restrictions on what she can have in her lunch box. A croissant on a muffin or anything that contains a hint of sugar isn't allowed because they say that it makes the kids hyper. Maybe we pack a sleeping pill to make them docile ! 4- the kids eat their food sitting outside in 45 degree heat and on the floor. Yes you heard me right. On the floor. Very hygienic right? 5- kids go out during breaks under the scorching sun then go back to freezing classrooms. I guess that is why kids are constantly sick. 6- buses up to 20 of them start their engines an hour or an hour and a half before kids are dismissed spewing their engine fumes right adjacent to the kids play area. You can literally smell the fumes as you walk through them. 7- finally the parking situation is nonexistent. Cars literally have to dump their vehicles in the middle of the road to pop in and collect their kids creating unbearable traffic. That is because their is no ample parking.
