DAY 11 + 12: Reaching the Top Point 🔺☝🏼
We didn't want to leave our camp spot and, apparently, neither did the cars - we were bogged. After some winching, we pushed on.
First stop | Ormiston Gorge, NT - [approximately] a 14 metre deep green pool with a sandy river bed. As we slothed on the sand, a swimmer practiced their breaststroke. Dick.
Second stop | Ellery Creek Big Hole, NT - The coldest pool of water. Ever! Seriously. Our feet were cramping because of how ridiculously cold it was. But we needed it. The sun was very unkind.
Final stop | Alice Springs, NT - The highest destination of our road trip.
Tuesday was a slow day in Alice. The temperature would reach 38 degrees. Full sun. We contacted home. Received some snaps of the kitties. Did a little shopping. Ryan met his idol. Inhaled a massive pub meal. Then waddled to the pool and enjoyed a few beverages while we watched the sun go down.
