Lots of things happened when @zerxeswadia and I broke up and now everyone is curious about what is up between us. Well, so are we.
When we broke up, we were both in very dark places in our lives. Work was excellent, we were both doing really well. But personally, we were fucked. Social media told tales of our lives that weren't complete and it often stung. We both changed as people. We did everything we could to escape our own loneliness and our own demons. Bad habits, toxic people- we went on a year-long self destructive spree. In that process, we hurt each other too, without even knowing it. The day we broke up, we promised to always be there for each other and be honest with each other no matter what. I truly wanted to hold onto that but we barely recognised each other anymore so it was no surprise that I wasn't there for him and he wasn't honest with me. It broke us. We needed help. We needed clarity. So we asked for it. ⚓
After months of coming clean, of admitting to mistakes, regrets, after recognising how low we could go, we feel cleansed but still on edge. I don't know what's going on in his head. But mine is full of questions and doubts. I love him, but do I want to be with him? So we've agreed to give each other space and time and also the opportunity of getting to know each other all over again. There's clearly something here that we can't explain but it's not enough if we can't put our doubts at rest. We've embarked on a journey to figure ourselves out and this time we've decided to be open about it on social media. Its called "Backseat of my Car". We're being unapologetically real this time around. You can watch as we spend our days traveling and unraveling each other on my Facebook Page (link in bio). ⚓
