So, fellow #Zebras thought you should be aware of an incident that happened at #Target. As most of you know I’m not able to shop in physical stores, due to my #multiplechemicalsensitivity. So, my amazing husband @venombdp has to do it for me. Well, he went to a Target store tonight to purchase 2 #Futuro wrists braces. Due to my #ehlersdanlossyndrome #Hypermobility condition, I easily sprain, strain, dislocate or sublux my joints. I need them for each wrist (left & right). My husband asked Target to price match the price listed on THEIR OWN site (Target.com) A Manager was called and they agreed, but only for 1! Apparently, they reserve the right to refuse to price match for multiple items. I understand if I was buying DVDs or something, but a medically necessary brace? Needless to say, my husband tried to explain about my being disabled and how I needed these braces. The Manager refused to honor the request. So, I physically called the Target Customer Service number and talked to a rep. He confirmed it IS store policy to limit multiple items, but that it’s up to the individual store to decide whether or not to honor a request, and that she COULD have allowed my husband to purchase 2, but that it’s her right to refuse. Heartless much? I could have ordered online through free store pickup, but I didn’t even think of this option until right now. Nor did the unsympathetic Manager suggest this option. Now, looking back I am even more disgusted that I have to go through such trouble, just to purchase 2 wrist braces. I have to ask myself should I take my business elsewhere or continue to support an organization that has Managers with no heart? #spoonie #zebrastrong #chronicillness #invisibledisability #spoonieforlife #chronicpain #chronicfatigue #ehlers #connectivetissue #ethicallydisgusted #wheresthelove #storemanagershouldbeashamed #whatifitwasyourlovedoneinneed #flexibility #zebrasnap
