Here's EGO lifting at its finest with my boy @ean.m . Once in a blue moon I'll go heavy, but most of the time I'll go light but a lot more volumn. People always ask me how I get big arms and I'll tell them it's definitely not going heavy. It may be a mixture of taco bell, high volume, and many years of arm day. Lol

lmao did my 1RM test today aka disappointment 😂😂😂 and ended up with a 205# sq & 260# dl. didn't end up where I wanted my squat or bench to be at -- 210# / 115#. matched my sumo dl to my conventional dl PR @ 253#. pulled an ego lift gym PR @ 260# -- def a pull I'm very ashamed of. although it's a pull I'm not very proud of, I'm glad that I pulled it off the ground after all the failed squat and bench attempts. looking at the videos, I am def noticing some weaknesses that I should take note of -- like the inability to maintain back tightness & my inefficient knee valgus. obvies want to sit in a corner and cry because of my performance & the news I received while I was doing my test, but gotta pull through & keep on going! 8 weeks out til the fit expo >:lll. I'm overtrained, undercarbed, not peaked, don't use headphones or caffeine but was still able to hit a 300Kg (660lbs) below the knee rackpull.
I'm still working on my weak lockout.

Im not saying there is no point in going all out all the time (in terms of effort). BUT, if you're gonna go 100% make sure you actually FEEL WHAT YOU SEE HAPPENING to yourself in the mirror. You'll know when the weight is too heavy by your facial expression on the first rep, you won't be able to convince yourself this time. LOOK YOURSELF IN THE EYE 👁️ 😂

W2D2. For someone who's 'supposed' to have some semblance of intellegince, I can be a massive idiot. Can squat 3x bodyweight, can't lie down on a bench without tweaking a muscle. Strained something hectic in my trap just trying to lie down and like a moron, benched the reps anyway. Coupla days recovery and some pizza, should be back to bearable pain. Benched 4x5 @95 followed by 2x3 @120 slingshot which will most likely be my opener for nationals. Did some light accessories and left.

When you finally get back to 500 for squats and the first rep feels great, you naturally go for two and have to bail on the second haha #egolifting #squats #gym #500 #finally #gains
