The stock is stained with a traditional #gunstock color with a bit of darkened tone to it. I also took some more time to clean up the handle portion for this #ee3carbine it will be a shame to cover up the handle surface after I got it nice and clean, but #starwars is a #useduniverse Trying to make the almighty #bountyhunter#bobafett proud
Breaking things back down. The “flashhider” part is done and is a super tight friction fit. I actually had to take more off the part that slides in barrel. The aim of the day is to stain the wood stock and then try and locate the parts that hold the scope to the barrel. Looking at replicated #ee3carbine#blaster out there, there seems to be a lot of different interpretations of how they connect. Any clarity on a #empirestrikesback version is greatly appreciated #starwars#esb#bobafett#bountyhunter
This piece of aluminum will serve for the #mppflash front end of the #ee3carbine#blaster I couldn’t find the exact size I was looking for to have a snug fit so I bought a piece larger than I needed and turned it down of the lathe this AM. I’ve got two chances at nailing the hole pattern in the original flash handle by turning the middle section. Which ever turns out better, I’ll just cut off the opposite side of the tube.
I reached the goal for today with getting the wood stock fitted to the rest of this conglomeration. At this point I have a replica #flaregun From here is when this starts to turn into the #ee3carbine#bobafett#blaster I really need to start looking into the #greeblies to make this come to life. Anyone got any good leads on the greebly end of the #esb version? Maybe someone has a #blackfriday deal? Lemme know!
Woodwork is not my strong suit. If I had a router I think this would be an easier task. Instead I’m attempting to chisel the stock a little at a time. I may give in and buy myself an early Xmas present to myself. #ee3carbine#ee3blaster
I got a little early start to working on this #ee3carbine stock/grip part. It’s all cut out roughly, but with a lot of grinding, sanding ahead. That reminds me I need to order a new grip to better match the prop. I only wish I could get a brass or bronze one. #blasters#starwars#esb#bountyhunter#bobafett
The soft cast parts of a Denix are always something you have to deal with. I’ve been through it a few times with my DL-44 ESB and Greedo Killer blasters. This Webley will require a lot more work. Hopefully it holds together with all the cutting and sanding that needs to happen to make this EE-3 come together #ee3carbine
