First 2 pictures are before ever lifting a weight in my adult life lol. Sitting strong at a 145 lbs. Still had yet to quit smoking. Last photo was taken June 29th just 9 days later! I sat at 156 lbs that day and was 6 days into quitting smoking and chill! 😂 Stay tuned for a current progress pic tomorrow. Lets see if this 160 lbs actually sticks around! 🤪

I recently got back from a 3 day meditation retreat. Within those 3 days I’ve received a lot of answers. Within those answers I’ve received crystal clear direction on the next steps I need to take in pursuit of my goals.

Goals for myself, goals to inspire and make a difference in the lives I come across. Gaining a deeper understanding for who I am at the core and what matters most to me.

I've also noticed that im less tense. My anxiety has totally regressed. My physical sensations have diminished from little to none.

But the best feeling I currently have is excitement. Excitement for what's next to come and the big changes I'll be making in my life that'll be more in alignment with my goals.

Sometimes if life is going to fast, or if you don't know where to go. Sometimes you do need to step back and give yourself room to breath.

3 WAYS YOU CAN STICK WITH YOUR GOALS EVEN WITH A BUSY LIFESTYLE

Are you constantly telling yourself you’re too busy to go to the gym and too busy to have time to make healthy meals? Well here's a solution.
1. If you are the type of person who has things come up during the day (after work - ie kids have friends over, etc) get your workouts done in the AM- have your workouts plan and get up crank the tunes and kill the workout.💪🏼

Research the top 3 healthiest take out food places around your work / home and find out the 3 healthiest options at each place so you know what to get when you're rushed for time or didn't pack a lunch. Even if you think they don't do take out- ask. If you want something change or have questions on what oils they use- ask. They want your service and much as you want the food.🌮

Prioritize. This one is HUGE for me. I used to be the type of person who would come home to just watch my favourite TV shows or make sure i was in front of the TV when my favourite series was airing a new episode. But one day I just decided that wasn’t as important anymore and ever since they it never has been. I don't even miss it. I spent wayyyy too much of my life sitting on the coach and not enough time building a better me.😌

Let’s talk body types for a minute. Do you keep doing workouts, busting your ass & still not getting results you want? Did you know there isn’t one universal body type? That means that you have to train for a more specific & targeted approach depending on your body type & goals. So, just like with nutrition, there is no one-size-fits-all approach to exercise either. .

The three body types are ectomorph, mesomorph & endomorph. Many times, we’re also a combination of two! .

Ectomorph (thin):
Ectomorphs are characterized as having long, slim, and thin muscles/limbs and low fat storage. Ectomorphs are not predisposed to store fat nor build muscle. These are the “hardgainers” that can’t gain weight even when they “eat so much.”

Mesomorph (muscular):
Mesomorphs are the “lucky ones.” They have medium bones, solid torso, low fat levels, wide shoulders with a narrow waist.

Mesomorphs are predisposed to build muscle but not store fat. Aka “lucky AF.” You might know somebody that can just look at a weight and seem to get bigger and stronger: that person is a mesomorph.

Endomorph (curvy):
Endomorphs play the game of Weight Loss on extreme difficulty. These are people with wider waists, large bone structures, and are predisposed to storing fat instead of building muscle. If you struggle to lose weight, or you put on fat easily, you MIGHT be an endomorph.

I am primarily mesomorph with a little endomorph in there, so for me, I do have to focus on getting some more cardio in while keeping strength training to about 3x a week, focusing more on body weight exercises or exercises with lighter weights with higher reps. This is also due in part to my goals, that I aim for a leaner look with less muscle, otherwise I get too bulky because I put muscle on very easily, so make sure you’re keeping YOUR goals in mind too because they do vary person to person! .

➤ High frequency, lots of volume & a wide variety of rep ranges & metabolite techniques work very well. I hit my calves at least 3 times per week, generally with days of 4-6 reps, 8-10 and 15-20 reps. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

➤ Key I find also is to get the form nailed. Really make sure to get full ROM, do not bounce & really squeeze at the top. You'll have to swallow your pride & use lower loads but you'll actually see growth this way. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Doing OHP 🏋️🏋️ haphazardly on my squat days has been a cop out, and in retrospect I should probably train abs too lmao. New day, new me and new training.
