My new book is availabe on Amazon- I will be in your country soon to discuss Social Entrepreneurship.
Extrait from the book:
Social entrepreneurship is about going beyond the obvious. Beyond what is safe, beyond what you will easily settle with. It is a battle of nerves to achieve what you can imagine. But more importantly, it is about the conviction and energy that envelopes a large group of people who are looking to be inspired by you.

It is about the good that needs to be done. It is about so much work that is around us that needs to be fixed. So we have to actively look for it- and never get satisfied until every child is well fed in this world. That may be wishful thinking to many but believe me- I know one of you who is reading this book will come up with an App that will create a game-changing platform- where every good that we do will automatically empower someone we don’t know. I am sure of that and more importantly I am confident of all the youth around the world. This I say because you belong to a different creed- you don’t live under the shadow of inhibitions. You exist in a day of experiential order. You try it first and then apply it. You just don’t follow the orthodox notions of happiness, and that’s what really makes me happy about your tomorrow. Your talents may not be recognized right away. It never was meant to be this way. Nobody understands a genius- that’s why Steve Jobs was fired from his own company and that’s why Bill Gates never got accepted at Harvard. This is because you walk that fine line. And I like it,
because it is individuals like you- who uplift our lives collectively and that is our bond. Your desire to revolutionize everything is my secret of Eternal Optimism. And I will hold on to it, as long as you promise to keep pursuing it- the name might be different but the goal has to be same. To empower and improve the lives of people with value from your output.

Michael Sabbie, a 35-year-old father of four from the Arkansas side of Texarkana, had been detained for three days at the city's Bi State Jail on misdemeanor charges of domestic assault before he was pepper sprayed and wrestled to the ground by six corrections officers on July 22, 2015. The next day, he was found unresponsive in his cell; according to the Post, a medical examiner deemed Sabbie's death "natural," noting he was obese and had significant heart damage.
▫▫▫▫▫▫▫▫▫▫▫▫▫▫▫▫ But over the course of the prior three days, Sabbie had repeatedly sought help for difficulty breathing and symptoms he believed resembled pneumonia. After he first reported symptoms on July 20, he was found on the floor of his cell on the morning of July 21 and in a court appearance that afternoon a bailiff as well as a judge both noticed his difficulty breathing. ▫▫▫▫▫▫▫▫▫▫▫▫▫▫▫▫ And the video shows while leaving that courtroom, Sabbie leaned against a wall and requested to use a phone, before Officer Clint Brown and other guards grabbed and wrestled him. Another officer, Lt. Nathaniel Johnson, pepper sprayed him. He was subsequently threatened with more pepper spray as a consequence for noncompliance. ▫▫▫▫▫▫▫▫▫▫▫▫▫▫▫▫ "Get your hands behind your back or you'll get it again," one guard says in the video.
▫▫▫▫▫▫▫▫▫▫▫▫▫▫▫▫ "I can't breathe, sir," Sabbie responds. "Please, please. I got pneumonia."
▫▫▫▫▫▫▫▫▫▫▫▫▫▫▫▫ Erik J. Heipt, one of the Sabbie family attorneys, told the Post that Sabbie says "I can't breathe" at least 19 times in the video and that without its existence, "we'd never know that he had been begging for help due to his shortness of breath and inability to breathe." He said they believed Sabbie was experiencing pulmonary edema, a condition in which fluid builds up in the lungs, often due to heart conditions. ▫▫▫▫▫▫▫▫▫▫▫▫▫▫▫▫ The Bi State Jail is run by LaSalle Corrections, a for-profit company that is paid $39.50 a day by local governments to house inmates and pays guards a starting wage of $10 an hour, the Post reported. As part of its contract with Bowie County, the corporation pays for all medical costs and assumes liability.

For many of us you never was and never will be a hash-tag for white people to react to, but rather a brother and a potential future family man. Your death only reiterated our claims that white racists changed their white gowns and masks for a badge and a uniform.

Africa 'subsidises' the rest of the world to the tune of $41bn (£32bn) a year, according to a new analysis of the amount of money flowing in and out of the continent.
The Honest Accounts 2017 report by Global Justice Now, the Jubilee Debt Campaign and other groups estimated the total amount going into sub-Saharan Africa at $161.6bn, while the total amount going out was put at $202.9bn.
The outflows included debt repayments by governments and the private sector, multinational company profits, the 'brain drain' effect, illegal logging, fishing and poaching, and costs associated with climate change, a problem largely caused by Europe, America and other developed countries.
"Africa is rich - in potential mineral wealth, skilled workers, booming new businesses and biodiversity. Its people should thrive, its economies prosper," the report said.
"Yet many people living in Africa's 54 countries remain trapped in poverty, while much of the continent's wealth is being extracted by those outside it.
Aisha Dodwell, a campaigner with Global Justice Now, said: "There's such a powerful narrative in Western societies that Africa is poor and that it needs our help. "This research shows that what African countries really need is for the rest of the world to stop systematically looting them. "While the form of colonial plunder may have changed over time, its basic nature remains unchanged." #PanAfricanism #BlackNationalism #BlackEmpowerment #AfricanEmpowerment #AfricanAndProud #BlackAndProud #BlackPride #BlackPower #BlackLivesMatter #Amerikkka #UnapologeticallyBlack #UnapologeticallyAfrican #BlackInAmerica #BlackIsBeautiful #KnowThySelf #KnowledgeOfSelf #KnowledgeOfSelfIsANationality #EconomicEmpowerment #IntegrationFailed #WhiteLiesMatter #Education #AfricanUnification #AfricanUnity #BlackLove #JusticeOrElse #ProBlack

Idk what it will take for weak men to understand that just because you are attracted to a woman does not mean you are entitled to have her and she is not obligated to entertain you. I know there will be some comments saying "sisters have to turn us down nicely" which is a pathetic attempt to justify behavior like this. You express interest. You are turned down. Show some maturity and walk away. Period. Simple.

I'm glad she retaliated and made that fist connect with his jaw tho

@Regrann from @problkthought - Former Ghana President John Mahama has said the struggle toward continental unity as envisage by the pioneers of the Africa Union has “been long and daunting.” In a message to mark AU day Thursday, the former president said despite the long walk to achieve the aims and objectives of AU, the spirit of Pan Africanism remains strong and alive, urging the continent to pull down the barriers and relic of neocolonialism.

He said: “Happy AU Day! The journey towards true freedom has been long and the task daunting, at some points, but the true spirit of Pan-Africanism has remained unquenchable.” He urged the continent to continue working at achieving Africa Unity by breaking down barriers, stereotypes and neocolonialism. “Let's keep working at it, let's tear down the barriers, let's tear down stereotypes, let's tear down the relics of Neocolonialism and let's work hard to shape our common future as our forebears envisaged.” He said.

Today, May 25, marks the 54th anniversary of the formation of the African Union, formally known as the Organisation of African Union, with a focus on youth investment.

Rp from @problkthought - #Ghana and #SierraLeone have agreed to ratify the agreement for co-operation between their two countries, so as to provide the legal framework for addressing their trade and investment concerns.
To this end, President Akufo-Addo has assured that “I will pursue this matter with my Parliament to ensure the ratification of this Agreement”, an agreement which was signed between the two countries on 19th December, 2013, but which is yet to be ratified. “Co-operation in the development of our agriculture, education, science and technology, infrastructure, health, energy and culture, and the co-ordination of the exploitation of our mutual natural resources, such as bauxite, iron ore, diamonds and gold, would be of immense benefit to our two countries.”
In addition to intensifying the links between Ghanaian and Sierra Leonean enterprises, the President stated that the process of regional integration must be hastened. “For a region that has made the choice of pursuing integration, we have not done much as we should have in liberalizing and encouraging trade amongst member countries,” he said.

Research has shown that countries or groups of countries with the largest share of world trade are located within regions with the highest share of intra-regional trade. However, Trade between African regions remains low compared to other parts of the world.

Not so #tbt 🤔 #staywoke Repost @nppbrand with @repostapp

@Regrann from @woke_blacks - The term INJUSTICE has been a part of Black people's lives since the days of slavery and even before and the story of young Ramad Chatman is no exception.
Like most Black people serving years and wasting away their lives and talent for no crime at all, is sad and sickening at the same time.

Chatman was imprisoned for an alleged $120 TV "he tried to steal" in 2012 when in actual fact he was just a suspect, who turned himself in as most innocent people who believe in their innocence.
Since it was his very first offense, he was initially sentenced to five years’ probation, a period during which he paid his restitution, attended every meeting, finished his community service and even kept himself employed, according to court documents.
Whiles serving probation for no wrong doing, Judge Jack Niedrach wanted to send Chatman to jail, revoking Chatman’s probation.

The police had no evidence for the case. They didn’t find a weapon. They didn’t recover any money. There was no video. In fact, Chatman is sitting in prison until 2022 simply because...?
Yes, you guessed right, simply because HE IS BLACK.
