Carlos attended Ebertfest last week, created by the late Roger Ebert! The festival included a screening of "Elle" with special guest Isabelle Huppert, and they also screened One Week Only's video tribute to Huppert!

One of the greatest moments of my life happened last night at Eberfest. Leading up to the trip to the festival, Chaz Ebert, in incredibly nice fashion, said she would like to use the Isabelle Huppert tribute video I made with my friend and collaborator Conor Holt. Her team made a DCP of it and made arrangements, but even then it didn't seem real. Last night, Michael Barker from Sony Classics came on stage to talk about Isabelle Huppert's amazing career, then Chaz introduced me and the video tribute, and that moment, hearing my name from that stage in that packed theater, I was speechless. My heart was beating out of my chest. The video tribute played in that magnificent screen at the Virginia Theatre, and once it was over Isabelle Huppert herself came on stage. I was shaking. To see something we create out of sheer passion reach such heights, at a festival named after such an inspirational icon as Roger Ebert, with Ms. Huppert in attendance, at a gorgeous and packed theater, I can't even put it into words how emotional that was for someone like me, for whom dreams like these have always seem unreachable. Later at the party Chaz took me to say hello to Ms. Huppert. She once again thanked for creating the video, which she saw from the side of the stage. Moments like last night are dreams that somehow escape imagination and become real. I feel so undeserving but immensely thankful. @isabelle.huppert @chazebert @thevirginiatheatre #ebertfest #ebertfest2017 #ebertfellows #elle #isabellehuppert #film #cinema #art #frenchcinema #rogerebert #filmfestival #illinois #dreamcometrue
