Ever heard of the 80/20 rule? It applies so much to flexible dieting, because you CAN “eat whatever you want” that fits your daily macros however you it is good to keep in mind that the bigger picture is to be healthy as a whole.

The goal with any diet is to get you to be healthy, weight is just a number on the scale, how you feel over all, and performances of daily activities, in and outside of the gym.

To be on flexible dieting you need to do learn how to track your macros, use tools like food scale, MyFitnessPal or other apps, and don’t overthink it but experiment with food you like, make them fit in your daily/weekly intake, focus on your performance in the gym less on what food to eat, and figure out which type of food helps your performance, focus, overall feel.

By applying the 80/20 rule is great way to learn and understand flexible diet and makes it a lifestyle instead of a “diet” you have to follow, it becomes a knowledge you can live with, and efficiently control the way you look, feel and function each day without any restrictions on food choices and timing.

Remember, the TRUTH is your well being is more important than the diet.

🌟WHY NUTRITION FACTS MATTER!🌟

👋🏼Would ya look at that! The superfood smoothie and the coolatta have the SAME amount of calories.. yet one is considered “healthy” and one isn’t.

🖍Labels and marketing can make you think you’re eating healthy when in reality you’re just taking in loads of excess calories 📈

🍯At the end of the day, SUGAR is SUGAR. Both types of sugar contain the same amount of calories. Yes, obviously fruit is a better option.. contains fiber, antioxidants and more benefits than the sugar in the coolatta, but..... both sugars are still calories. And if you’re trying to keep your waist slim, it doesn’t matter.

My point is this: if you’re looking to lose fat, check the nutrition facts of the things you are eating! Or better yet, buy things without a label (whole foods like veggies, fruits, meats and grains).

👙When I first started out, I never paid attention to nutrition facts. I just ate “healthy” but had no concept of calories in vs. calories out, which as we know... 👏🏼being in a calorie deficit is the only way to lose fat.

🍌Next time you grab a snack, check the nutrition facts and really see what you’re putting in your body. I’m only sharing this so you don’t fall victim to marketing and buzzwords. Don’t get your panties in a twist 💩💃🏼
