I love this one! Look at her she lost 73lbs in 9 months how amazing is that! And all with our nutrition course that is so easy to follow and still lets you treat yourself, yes even with wine and chocolate. ;) . Seriously I'm continuously losing on this nutrition plan. I got a bit overzealous when planting my summer squash this year. With the help of tomato cages, they are growing more vertical like I had hoped, but still a bit too big for the space they are in.... which of course I knew would happen! I’m able to cut away a large leaf here and there to give room for the carrots growing next to them (not the brightest garden planning) but that’s about all I can do! 😬

Today I pledge to celebrate the little things!
I've started having what I call power smoothies in the morning. As part of my effort to decrease fat and meet my protein goal for the day, here's what this sludge contains: Greek yogurt, blueberries, walnuts, avocado, spinach, JRobb egg white protein powder, cinnamon, turmeric, and water. It's actually not that bad, and will keep me full through zumba this morning.

You don't have to travel far from Richmond to taste one of the oldest Italian restaurants in the area. Mama Cucina is located right outside Innsbrook. The dish was itself was light, refreshing and the atmosphere of the restaurant instilled great conversation while celebrating my aunt's birthday. **Flavor rating: 4/5**
This restaurant had great taste but if it had used more quality ingredients it would have a line out the door filled with customers! I believe this dish can be easily replicated at home with some added touches that better refine the taste!

Doctorflavor's Napoli
Directions:
Make or pickup some freshly made farfalle-there is a world's difference in taste and texture in freshly made vs store bought pasta. Salt water and boil for 7 minutes until the pasta has the texture like a fresh stick of gum.

Then sear each side of the scallops and shrimp on a cast iron to give them a crunchy tan color before combining the chopped artichoke, black olives, peas, and grape tomatoes in olive oil and freshly chopped garlic. Make sure to get your veg from Farmers market for even better taste. Then remove fish and veg and deglaze with a glass of your favorite white wine and add a slice of butter. Add in some freshly chopped basil and heat until the sauce thickens. Season with salt, freshly cracked pepper, and squeeze half a lemon over the dish. Maybe add some red pepper flakes. Serve and enjoy!

Include onions, garlic, chives and leeks. Ever wondered why we crush garlic or chopped onions? Yes, for the ease of making them; but also for the release of powerful molecules: allicin- basically, coming from the Alliium family, known to prevent many cancers and fight them.
