so what do i use my fitbit for if i don’t count calories or macros? well, i use it for everything else, such as my sleep cycles, heart rate, calories burned, water intake, distance, steps, and exercise tracking! so why don’t i count calories or calculate macros? well, i actually used to but it became so obsessive and stressful, especially when i would go out to eat. though i still ate healthy, i would get so angry and upset (thanks to my ocd) if i couldn’t log it and the guilt would set in. also, if i felt like i was eating too much i would literally starve myself because i was so obsessed with whether i would eat more, less, or just the perfect amount of food at the end of the day. that’s not a healthy way to live. so a few months ago i put a stop to it and now i eat freely; however i am always aware of what i put into my body and nutritional content of the food and that is enough for me! i’m not saying that i will never count calories or calculate macros again, but for now i feel that not doing so is the best for me at this time!
