Goodmorning dear friends.. today marks an auspicious day - celebrated across North and many other states in India as the first day of 'Navratra' . During this nine day festival different Avatars of Goddess Durga are worshipped- we offer our prayers to the Devi and some of us fast, with only one special veg meal during the day...which is first offered to the Gods.
I wish you all Happy Navratras and a day filled with true joy.
Spreading joy this Navratra through this Nepali aloo til chutney ( potatoes and sesame dish from Nepal) which can be made in jiffy - this chutney can be made without any onions and has boiled potatoes mixed with chopped tomatoes, green chillies, ginger , coriander leaves, salt, red chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin powder and lemon juice. The most key ingredient is roasted and coarsely ground Sesame seeds which give a really nice texture and nuttiness to the dish..I reserved a tbsp of whole roasted sesame seeds to go on the top and give a nice crunch to the dish...so yummy tangy and 'chatpata' 🔥🔥🔥🔥
You could substitute potatoes with sweet potatoes for a super healthy version.
