This intimate early-morning retreat will be led by authorized Ashtanga Yoga teacher, Jill Manning.
There is something cosmic about the end of the year, and carving out this early-morning time to dedicate to yourself and strengthening your yoga practice can be a powerful way to let go of the old and prepare for what’s coming,” Jill says.
Open to all skill levels, the physical aspect of this workshop will focus on Jill’s specialty: Helping you move confidently into poses that have previously frustrated you and making small tweaks in your practice where you didn’t know you needed them.
The skills you learn will help you develop strength, flexibility, and stamina--even if you’ve been feeling stalled. You’ll leave the workshop with new knowledge in your body that will allow you to not only to deepen your practice but continue progressing as a student long after the workshop is over.
Each morning session will be a complete yoga practice, covering the full range of poses throughout the workshop, but this is only one aspect of the learning experience. All yoga is a mind-body discipline. There will also be mindful silence and the vibrational medicine of traditional yogic chanting.
Rising before dawn during winter’s darkest days invites introspection and self-examination. “This workshop is an opportunity to immerse yourself not only in yoga but also to immerse yourself in your deepest self,” says Jill.
