Playing with some long exposures at Whytecliff Park in North Vancouver yesterday. I was there doing a styled wedding shoot (which went awesome and I’ll be sharing photos of that *soon*) but just got myself a new Variable-ND filter, so I had to play with it.
Sadly when this one was turned to the ‘really dark’ setting, it got an ‘x’ pattern that is normally seen in cheap VND filters (even though this one was fairly expensive) :(. I took it back today actually. It did work ok at the lighter end of it, giving me 2-4 stops and letting me get a 6 second exposure at f/13 at ISO 100, giving some nice movement flattening of the water.
Big thanks to my buddy Brian for driving and M and J for showing up as my bride model and assistant (husband). #vancouver #vancouverphotographer #whytecliffpark
