How do you use #MyFirstEmotions with your baby?
You can read the stories, sing the songs, play the music and introduce Robbie the rabbit puppet to even the youngest of babies. This will help you get used to talking about emotions openly with your child.
There is also a selection of activities that can be used with young babies – all the activities in the Activity Book show what age they can be used from. As time goes on, your baby will take a more active role in the activities.
We’ve provided a few videos on the support website showing some baby sign language you can use to help ask your pre-verbal child what they are feeling and show that you understand their emotions and needs.
And of course the parenting guidance is valid from Day 1 – the sooner you start using the techniques, the sooner it will become second nature.
