🔅🔅🔅🔅🔅 Happy Thursday Friends! I’m feeling quite motivated today and thought I’d share my 💭
I received my graduate degree in the mail last week as well as accepted a job offer for a position I have sought after for myself for well, a long time. Not sure about anyone else but discovering what my “dream” job is has been needless to say, a full time job in itself.. in my experience the road to find career fulfillment has been one long and windy one (to say the least😳)..For me, I struggled with deciding between my interest in the challenges and rewards of business 👩🏼🎓👩🏼💻📊and my passion of being a health resource for those around me 💉🥗🍐. It wasn’t until I asked myself “who says I need to choose?” that I really started the progress towards not just job fulfillment but personal happiness as well.
I used to beat myself up because I wasn’t where I “thought” I should be with my life or watched others achieve “more” than me at a faster rate.. ❌❌it took a while and some serious self reflection to realize how B.S. this thought process was. Everyone’s journey to “fulfillment” , “completeness” whatever you want to call it is d.i.f.f.e.r.e.n.t. and that’s what makes it worth it. The tears, fears and doubts you overcome are what make obtaining your goal (whatever it may be) WORTH it. Once I realized this and focused on achieving MY happiness did things start falling into place. I’m happy to say after 4 years of a bachelor’s degree education, 18 months of graduate school and many WTF moments in between it has all been worth it—and will be for you, too. XXO, S
