Earthquake bar is used for a type of training called HBT (hanging band technique) which uses a barbell with weights hanging from bands on each side.
The instability of the hanging weights increase motor unit recruitment, recruits more muscle fibers, requires more time under tension, increased work for stabilizer muscles & great for increased shoulder stability training.
