Today I saw some workouts that inspired me a lot 💪🏽💯 I thought when get home this evening, after my run I’ll give a couple of the exercises a go! Hmm, Then I saw my 2year old daughter watching the lion king 🦁 👑... “Dad, where you going ..” I stopped, lost all thought 💭, picked her up, out her on my back and we went for a walk instead of what I had planned 🐥
For me, fitness is something I “add” to my life, not “is” my life, albeit a lot more since having little ones running around, which keeps me fit enough 😁 *I like it this way.

Rest is so important. But there's always so much to do, right? 2 classes in the morning, Booth at Motorama afternoon/evening, driving home in the snow for over an hour (I didn't drive 🙌) and I landed here, here to rest and catch up on a missed meeting.
We all need to slow down in the midst of all the 'doing' what we do. Take advantage of the short times you can. Multitasking work and rest. It's sounds counterproductive to some, but why veg on tv when I can fill my brain with good stuff?

These are by far my least favorite tricep exercise. However, they work. So, I do them. Great for adding mass 💪 No saggy arms for me. 😝

When you show up and think you know what my program will be today...nope. 200m run in between sets of powerball bench presses. In sections of my training I will throw yay stuff in. Alternate between body parts and 400 meter dashes etc. He's a #marinevet so he's use to running so he will start my training block from 5 years ago.

I remember thinking, “Ugh, there’s no point. Clearly this just won’t work while I have little kids.” But the truth is, it was easier to think like that and just give up than figure it out.🤷🏼‍♀️

Last year Caleb kept staying up late & waking up earlier! I had no time for me, no time with my husband, and no time to work. It wasn’t good for anyone. I heard about this Okay to Wake alarm clock and although I was skeptical, it was life-changing!🙌🏻

Lately Caleb’s been starting to wake up earlier again, and this morning when he got up at 6 instead of 7 he also woke the baby. It was so hard to get up early after being up a lot with Josh so l felt frustrated & defeated. I didn’t lose sleep just to have extra time with my kids!! 😂 I love them but momma’s need time too right?! So I kissed Caleb, explained that the green light didn’t go off yet and sent him back to his room while I got Josh back down & pushed play. And guess what? Not only did Caleb stay in there, he played quietly for another 20 minutes so I got to finish my whole workout!🎉 But it never would’ve happened if I let my frustration get the best of me and just gave up.☝🏻

I used to think it made me a bad mom to do something like this but I’ve grown a lot and realized that if I want to be a more present and joyful mom all day, I need a little time without them. I needed to remember I was the boss and not my kids! 🤦🏼‍♀️ Now everyone is happy and ready for a great day together!

Mommas, don’t feel bad for needing time for you and don’t give up too easily. It takes time to figure out what works and consistency is key for both you and the kids, but if you stick with it I promise everyone will be better for it! 💕

It's a good thing I workout at home!! I'd probably get kicked out of a gym... or have one hell of an audience! 😂😂😂 Even for a 30 minute workout, if I would've had to go to the gym, it would take me so much extra time! (And I live in podunk nowhere with no traffic!) *Drive to gym: 6 min
*Park & get scanned in: 3 min
*Lock personal items up: 2 min
*Gather everything needed for workout: 2 min
*Do workout: 30 min
*Wipe down equipment used and return to where it goes: 3 min
*Retrieve personal items: 2 min *Walk to car & drive home: 8 min

This is approximately an EXTRA 26 minutes!! That may not seem like a lot, but if you have to wake up THAT much earlier to do it, will you be LESS LIKELY to make it your routine?!? I know I DID!! I have been working on the fact that I am a judgemental bitch sometimes... Ok mostly. I used to judge people who bought premade garden beds... But here we are. A #vegtrug was on clearance sale at mitre ten because they aren't making this size anymore... Or something. I got it for a super reasonable price. And it's really solid. -try something new
-take it in turns to make with a colleague

- shop for your desk at work - find actions not excuses.
