#LegendOfTheDay TVXQ (Tong Vfeng Xien Qi) AKA DBSK (Dong Ban Shi Ki). Their name translates to Rising Gods of The East, which makes some people wonder if this boy band, rather than being legends, are actually Kpop gods. TVXQ debuted in December of 2003 with the lineup of U-Know Yunho, Micky Yoochun, Hero Jaejoong, Xiah Junsu and Max Changmin. From 2008-2009, TVXQ's fandom- Cassiopeia, held the Guinness' World Record for biggest fanclub. In 2010, members Yoochun, Jaejoong and Junsu split from the group, saying that SM Entertainment's 13 year "slave contract" was too long. The three formed JYJ under C-JeS. Now a duo, TVXQ continues to make music and are currently on hiatus, as Yunho just recently got released from the military and Changmin is still doing service.
TVXQ has left an undeniable mark on K-Pop. They are one of the first second generation artists, and have many songs that recent boy groups constantly cover- Hug, Mirotic, Balloon; just to name a few. December of next year will mark TVXQ's 15th anniversary- making them one of the only groups to run so long without temporary disbandment.
