Alhamdullillah, all praises to God. It has taken me awhile to recover from the Dodgeball World Cup. 2 years ago, the previous World Cup I sent my friends off from the airport, watched and supported them from behind a laptop screen. This time I played in it, and I played against them, with a flag on my chest. Everything has been a dream come true, some situations maybe not so much. Dodgeball in New York, Madison Square Garden, who knew? Live on ESPN, who knew? Singapore Mens team placed 10th out of 10, Womens 8th out of 10, Mixed invitational 2nd out of 4. Sounds alright I guess for a little red dot. Lost my voice cheering on my favorite people, lost 2 pairs of my favorite court shoes, and a pair of knee pads just before our quarterfinals game, lost a brooch on the last day in NY that my mom bought me, that was tough. Despite that, I'm thankful. I've had the pleasure of training and playing alongside my team of 9 other wonderful women and 6 other men, my coaches, we've come so far together, working as a team. Thank you for allowing me to be part of your team. Hand on my heart, truly we have given our best and we'd do it all over again. We're also so blessed to have the Singapore Consulate representatives host us as well as Singaporeans residing in the US who came down to cheer us on. That was really special.
Thank you so much to our sponsors for providing us with much comfort for this trip @waxtriplex @hadosingapore @rubixwear @dodgezone @juz_demure . Thank you to family, friends and supporters who watched our games in the wee hours of the morning, you guys are the best.
I'm not very sure what's next from here, but I trust that God has planned the best for me so come what may :) #dodgeball #dodgeballsingapore #teamsingapore #sgdodgers #strongertogether #letshearitfornewyork #dodgeballworldcup2018 #majulahsingapura 🇸🇬🇺🇸
